Last night I had dinner at Crocantino. Not an unusaul thing to do, but since living here for the past 15 years, I have only gone once before. I am sorry I missed all those chances! The lasagne was splendid and the service great. The garden was beautiful and airy, I am just sorry I did not leave room for desert. I guess the old saying about not seeing the forest for the trees is true!

Is there a simple map showing the general location of restaurants around Bonaire? I've been to few, but never knew where Richards was, for example. Would a map show the location of "Crocantino"?

Yes, there is a good map/guide you can find at the airport arrivals hall and the Tourism Corporation Bonaire. It is the Walking and Shopping map and has a full page representation of the stores and restaruants in town. It shows Croccantino, but Richards is not in town so the best way for you to find them is to just pass Divi hotel and you will see the sign. Bon appetit

While I was on Bonaire recently, Michael Gaynor and I ate at Maiky, the traditional Bonairean restaurant 'out in the country'. The food was good (I had goat stew and Michael had fish) and the portions are ample. It is frequented by 'the locals', always a good sign in any country. The drive there gives one a feel for the 'real' Bonaire countryside; the signage is a little tricky so you might see more than planned but Michael is working on that. The restaurant itself is a house with a thatch-roofed outdoor eating area and the owners/staff are pleasant. Altogether a good experience.

Can someone tell me if the daughter of the Maiky owners had a girl or boy in late Feb or March?
The family is one of the nicest.....
