I am visiting Bonaire for the first time on 24 October this year and can't wait. Could you tell me please what price cigarettes are on Bonaire and if they are sold everywhere or just in a specific shop like the Tabac in France? Is it cheaper and easier to buy cigarettes duty free?

Thx

cigarettes are generally available and around $3.50 (US) per pack...selection is limited...much cheaper duty free if you get the chance (about half that price)...

and the good news...doesn't seem to be nearly the number of anti-smokers on bonaire (as say the US) - you can pretty much smoke anywhere - except underwater :-) (i need to work on that:-))

Annie
If you happen to be coming through Jamaica. we bought like 5 cartons for under $100 US.
Bob is right, it's not nearly as anti-smoking in Bonaire as it is in the US, though we still try to be non-intrusive when smoking.

Enjoy
