Got a hankerin for some local food and atmosphere? Head to Gibi's like we did on our recent trip to Bonaire. The pan-fried Grouper was outstanding and my wife raved about the goat stew.

Here's a picture of Gibi at his restaurant.

I second the recommendations -- super food, very friendly owner and staff --- and great times with new BT friends on Tuesday nights at 6:30 pm.

I'll be there on Tuesday for the last time this year --- unless I can swing another trip some time later.
Josie

Look at the picture of Gibi closely - there on the door under Gibi's right arm is a BonaireTalk sign :-)

Jake, you had left already when these fellows came to dinner. Carole knows what happened later.

MMmmmmmmm, delicious! I couldn't resist lobster grilled with garlic and butter....so sweet and tender, too. I shared it with Gibi...well, I saved him a bit to taste! It was excellent. I usually don't order lobster outside the US as I love Maine lobster, but this CAribbean baby was great! Gibi thought there would be a "doggie bag" (at least a two pounder if not more..I can't recall the exact weight, but it was a lot) but he was wrong.....he didn't give me enough credit....nothing was left to take away!! He grilled this beautifully....tons of garlic and butter....soooo good! Great shot, Niki!! Ayo. Carole

Can you tell us when the BT folks go to Gibi's. I have been on this thing for a couple of years now and the last time I was in Bonaire I missed it. I would like to put faces to some of the folks that are talking.

Thanks
