I am sure someone on-island can give a more complete answer, but calling upon memory, there is all sorts of fresh fruit and veggies at the local supermarkets---Cultimara, for example---and also available from the fresh fruit and veggie stand which is on the Playa waterfront. This is operated by Venezuelans who bring stuff over from the mainland. At any given time, you will find anything that is usually available in a US market, plus mango, pinapple, guayaba, bananas, avocado, etc.

Plus papaya, local lemon/lime (tiny and round), great juice oranges, watermelon, bananas usually come in about 6 variations.

Locally grown mespol (sp?), coconut, shimaruku ((sp?), apeldam (sp?) taki, Kamari (similar to cherries, sea grapes....just some of the local fruit that can be found in the mundi, especially during rainy season.
