Hi, waaaaay back some time ago I saw comments about a good place to go for ice cream. It was not Lover's and not Prisca's in Rincon. Any idea where this is and the name? I did a search and didn't see it.....

If I'm not mistaken you mean ice cream from Bon Awa Bon Ijs. As far as I know it isn't operated anymore

Sighhh... I am wondering the same thing for myself. I only got to experience the Lover's ice cream when we were there for our first visit in June but really enjoyed that. I can hardly wait to return. I don't think I could ever get enough of Bonaire. "I am going to Bonaire next week...". There I have said it for the day. I say it every day so that some day it will come true. Nice to meet you and Christin. I see that we are all fairly new to Bonaire Talk. What a great way to "stay" on the island.

Bon Awa is closed? I hope not!! They were open in November. GOOD icecream too and CHEAP! If anybody wants to sponsor me I can go and check it out... please

In March, we had quite good ice cream at a very small shop in an office arcade (used to be where the administrative office for the ferry service was) downtown. The arcade is on the east side of Kaya Grandi very close to the bank.

From inside the arcade, the shop is on the left as you face east. The arcade has a faux Renaissance painting on the ceiling and a Bonaire mural at the west end above the arch.

I'm sorry I don't know the name, but I'll bet someone does.

We think Lover's ice cream is great, but I must say this was just as good.

Is Bon Awa Bon Ijs the ice cream stop near the church? (with the ice cream cone in front) If so they were open in June/July but served only Lover's Ice Cream...good though...Karen & Rog Huff
