My wife and I are planning our first trip to Bonaire this July. We are relatively new divers. Last year we had a great trip to Saba. Initially we were referred to Green Submarine as a shop to go to in Bonaire, but they have since changed management, and Wannadive is the shop associated with the place we are staying (Deep blue view)

Has anyone had any dealings with wannadive? Recommendations? thanks

I find it easier to use the shop that is associtated with the resort I am staying with. Having said that, I think you will find Bart and company (Wannadive) are great people and run a fine dive operation. If they are the associated dive op, I would not bother to look elsewhere. Just FYI, I have been on this board several years and don't recall hearing about a bad shop on island, so it's hard to go wrong. If there was a bad op on island, I have no doubts that we would hear about it here.

Be sure to get your name on the "on island in July" list. Lots of the board members try to meet somewhere for a dive or 2 and/or dinner one night.
It always nice to meet the person at the other end of the keyboard. We will be there July 19-26.

Green Submarine has been renamed into Yellow Submarine. I am sure that you will appreciate the new management. Thogether with NetTech (Jake & Linda) they are the organizers of the monthly underwater clean up. If you are on Bonaire you should join the 50 to 60 participants, it is fun and there is a great potluck BBQ.
By the way, they are related to Deep Blue View too!
