Does anyone here have the website link to the program that is on PBS called Diversdown..all I could find doing a search was a diversdown in Caymen ..from the UK.....a few months ago I had e-mailed Diversdown..the PBS show one and asked them about Bonaire...They told me they were in Bonaire recently and the show would air sometime in May......I would love to see it and relive my wonderful recent trip to Bonaire

The Diversdown crew was down here the begining of November last year. We just heard from them this week about the airtime. They think mid-May. We'll be sure to let everyone know when we hear actual dates and times.

On 4/7 on the travel channel 11:30 pst there's a show on Bonaire.. other than that I'd be excited to see what they do.

Faith and I had the pleasure of accompanying Mark and his wife Jill for a shoot in Salem, Massachusetts the summer before last. We were both shown on camera, and I got to spend a minute talking about my website DiveNewEngland on camera. That episode aired about a year ago, and won Mark an award. He does a fabulous job putting the shows together.

I was fortunate to run into either Jill or Marlene a year ago at Disney World. She had her daughters with her and I noticed one of them had a Diver shirt on so I struck up a conversation. I told her that my then 11-yr-old was having reservations about learning to dive and she told me that her teenage daughters were divers. So after the ride, I introduced them to my daughter and they got her so excited about diving that she is going to start her open-water class this June.

What great ambassadors for the sport!

Thank you so much for the info..now that you say NESN I remembered it wasn't PBS..My husband usually has it on and calls me down to watch it....but now i remember the ads for the dive shops that sponser it...thanks again...can't wait to see it

I can't wait either (Mark Stanton's going to be sending me a tape, I hope) - I'm in some of the footage - even have a speaking role, I think ;-)

We ran into Mark and Jill Stanton and their little boy yesterday at the DUI Owners Group gathering in Gloucester (my, how their son has grown since we saw him last!). Mark's just finishing up the post-production work on the first episode, and it should air sometime this month. Jill is dying to go back to Bonaire! Sounds like they had a wonderful time when they were on the island...

Mark and Jill were shooting video all over the DUI gathering yesterday, and I'd be willing to guess that there's going to be a show coming out of it! If there is, keep an eye out for a group shot of all the folks there in their DUI drysuits gathered around the signpost. The two on the left who are still in full dive gear, holding a dive flag & buoy, dripping on everyone in sight, are Dan and me, fresh out of the water just barely in time for the group photo... It was our first dive since December, and our first cold-water dive since at least October, maybe even September. We were both a tad mis-weighted, but we still had a lovely dive. Managed to stay warm enough throughout (min water temp we saw was 40F). I should probably post something over on DiveNewEngland.com about it...
