Update from our June 1 - June 17 visit.
I too was in the water with the dolphins as told by Jim Evans in "Swimming with Dolphins". It was truly a magical experience to be close enough to almost touch them. Our friend Nancy is connected!!
This was the third trip for my husband and I. We come all the way from Seattle, so it is quite a trip - but worth every mile. The last two trips we have stayed at Belmar at Belnem. It is a wonderful place to stay and Jan and Wilma make you feel so welcome. Each unit faces the ocean and has a private veranda (where we spend most of our time when we are in our unit). Toucan Divers now has a dive shop on site. It is so convenient and Irene, the dive shop operator is GREAT.
This trip, we also saw Seashores - 4 different ones. They are such charming, delicate creatures. They truly are hard to see and we felt privileged to find them. We also saw numerous turtles, rays, squid, tarpons and barracudas.
Our favorite meals this trip were at Blue Moon, Le Wok, Richards, Kon Tiki and the wonderful Den Laman. They make a fabulous pizza at Cozzoli's in the town mall. And, of course, LOVER's ice cream!!!
We love the Island, the people and the wonderful diving and can't wait for a return trip.

If I close my eyes....I can still see all those Dolphins swimming by and I still hear them 'talking' to us! Of all the pictures we took this is the one time we did not have a camera with us. Probably would have forgotten to use it anyway!
