Tenth year back and never get sick of the diving here..happy to have the dock and new gear room back at Sand Dollar where we like to get our air package..check out dive on Bari reef first thing and we're off !
Did alot of diving up north as alot of heavy winds this year made south a bit choppy..new ladder at Oil Slick Leap made that one of our favorites, plus two seahorses and teeny tiny baby drums here, did a night dive at Town Pier with Sipkjke and saw frogfish and barbfish, saw an incredible sight at Atlantis one day when a octopus ate a sharptail eel, all happened in about one minute! got to do my 700th dive at Ol Blue another fav spot..one of these days gonna get in on "the other side"of the island..snorkeled at beautiful spot named Wiakka II in the park, nice lagoon lots of fish..so 54 dives later we have our dive photos and log books to help us remember ..added note, what would it take to have someone watch cars at the dive sites so divers don't get ripped off ? I would be happy to pay someone additional guilder to guard, so my shirt is still there upon return..the pink bus can't be at all the sites....safe diving everybody

Debbi

Congratulations on the 700 dives! Now to get you to do some dives on the tropical reefs of Lake Champlain;-{)}

I am heading back to Bonaire in November, with hopes of diving the east side.

Did you folks get your ten year Ambassador pins?

Be well, stay warm.

Tom

Is the Pink Bus no longer in operation? Used to be at a different dive site every day and you felt a bit more comfortable.

Gail, the Pink Bus is still in operation but I think it only goes to dive sites in the south. At least that is where it was during our recent 2-week stay. It has a regular schedule & rotates amongst certain dive sites. As you approach the sites south of the airport, approximatley at Lighthouse Reef, there will be a sign indicating the location of the Pink Bus for that day.

Jake, you are so kind to keep following up on my posts with the actual link...maybe someday I'll remember the steps to insert the link myself... or not? Sigh...I just have to remind myself that I have other strengths, even tho I am moderately computer-challenged!
