Hi,
Question for all you photographers. I know that some of you dive and snorkel with the Sea & Sea MX-10 and your pictures are fantastic. What speed film do you use? I am new to underwater photography and any advice would be much appreciated!!
Thanks, Mary Lou

I typically use 200 or 400 speed and get good results in the MX 10. Be sure you have the strobe attached if you want good pics however.

Thanks! I have the strobe, close up lens and macro so I figured I was set with that just wasn't sure about the speed of the film. Thanks for the advice! ML

200 is great for sunny day pictures, I use 400 for night or on days when it is very overcast.

I always use 200 with a strobe.

My 2 cents worth.... I agree on the use of 200 minimum - 400 is better. We shot our first trip on Fuji Provea (100asa) and a lot of the shots came out dark or blurred. After we switched to 400 print film they were much better.

Also, consider renting an underwater video camera from one of the dive shops. I just got mine transferred to the computer last week and it came out great. No need to worry about film speed! :-)
