greetings all. I'm a long time lurker, seldom poster. coming back to the sanddollar for the fifth winter. We're pumped. my wife , two sons, and I consider these trips the hi-lite of the year. seeing that we're in the diving thread, here's a dive site for you. my oldest son was home from college and seeing that Dec. 1 is the opening of scallop season up here in Maine we headed down to a site we know near Winterharbor. (appropriate name for today) met up with a half dozen friends there and did a 45 min. dive. temp. at 40 ft. was 43 F. got a mess of scallops! anybody want to come up? we'd be glad to take you any time. (G) when you gotta dive, you gotta dive. sorry if I ramble on but we had a great dive today and I felt like talking about it. would have done a second but it started snowing and we lost the topside vis. (G) but back to Bonaire! let us at it! have a happy holiday season everyone. David, Jacki, Levi, Kyle

Dave-
Let the scallop challenge begin! We can have a taste-off...The Maine scallop vs. the Nantucket Bay scallop. I know where I'm putting my money!

We skin dive for scallops in St. Joe Bay (Florida panhandle)every year during the first week of June. I don't know if they taste better or not (they are small) but the water is clear and upper 80's temp.
