We too will be in Bonaire for the first time December 4 through 11. We are Elwin and Setsuko Bagley, (Retired Air Force and Japanese war bride) a 66 year old retired couple, now running an alpaca farm in North Georgia. We took half a PADI course in the keys in 99, quit because of bad weather. Took half a NAUI course in a lake in Georgia in 2000, then got Padii certified in 2000 in the keys, just barely beating bad weather, and went diving in Florida's Vortex Springs twice in 2001.
Now we are looking forward to the good weather and calm seas in Bonarie.
Setsuko would rather snorkle than dive, as she does not like to go too deep. I have never been down more that fifty feet in the springs.
Yes, we would like to meet someone to dive with.
If you don't read this before we leave, which is at 4 am wed morning the 4th, and you want to contact us, we will be calling Jake, who owns the web cams, when we get in.
His number is 717-6773.
My e-mail is Bcsbagley@aol.com
my homepage is www.hometown.aol.com/bcsbagley
My phone number is on my web home page.
Please send an e-mail and give me a contact address.
If you don't want to hook up with a couple of old people, we will understand.
But, you might miss something as we do also play a pretty good game of tennis.

I just thought of another bribe to get you to dive with us.
We have rented a condo on the beach with another couple, (friends from high school)who do not dive or swim.
It is in Belnam and has shore access for diving and snorkling or so they say.
So, maybe there is a good beginners dive site at our back door. You could join us in exploring it.

Elwin, there is no need to dive deep, in fact we just got back from 10 days of diving and the deepest we went was 45 feet. The reefs start at about 30 feet or so and we find plenty to watch in the 'shallows'. Enjoy!

Elwin, Sorry it has taken so long to respond. Unfortunately, Poor Richard was called away from home for work and has not been able to log on to a computer to answer. First I hope you get this message before taking off and hope you have a good flight. If all goes well after we settle down and find our way around the island i will try to contact you via jake. I heard a rumour that the diving gear in Bonaire was cheaper than in the states. So we may have to take a day to get our gear down there. Lisa
