We are going to be in Bonaire Dec 4 through 11, 2002. We are a retired couple who have not been diving for two years. Dived before in Florida Keys, Weeki Watchee, and vortex springs. Would like to have buddies for the deeper dives. Our max depth has been 50 feet in the waves off marathon Florida. We have an orientation and two tank dive boat scheduled for Dec 5 with photo tour dive shop.
Where is the reef cam located.
Would anyone like to buddy for a boat dive or some shore dives dec 5 to 11.

Elgin,
The reef cam is in back of Jake's house. Land access to it is on private property, and so you have to either bribe Jake with Krispy Kremes, or do a boat dive there. I think most of the dive shops do at least one dive there through the week. The actual dive site is named Small Wall, the cam is just south of the mooring point.

Jake can be bribed with Krispy Kremes? I live about 8 miles from their national headquarters. We have Krispy Kremes all over the place here. I will be in Bonaire on Nov 28. The donuts would not be hot and fresh by time I get there, but 8 seconds in the microwave will warm them and give them that straight-off-line taste. We are staying at Capt Don's so I am sure we can get the Capt to take us to small wall at least once. I will still have to see if I can fit a dozen in my luggage. Do you prefer the glazed or some other kind, Jake? In case you need a review of the flavors available go to Krispy Kreme varieties

Original glazed is best :-)

O.K. Jake, You are on. I will bring a bunch of Original Glazed. We will be in Bonaire between December 4 and 11. We look forward to diving at the web cam, albeit by boat or from your private entrance. BTW, the picture of you fixing the web cam was really good.

Just Keep in mind, that if you have Krispy Kremes, don't take too long getting settled. :)

As I remember it, Linda told me that they both can tell whenever KK arrive on the island, even with the Trade Winds blowing, so best call him before he and Grendal appear at your door! They live just down the street from Don's. :–)

At this rate, Jake will have all 52 weeks of the year covered with KK. It's a good thing tropical wet suits are stretchy-- or is this why they have the baggy dry suits comiing??? :–)

Jake, in our business section of our local newspaper was an article saying that Krispy Kreme was going overseas. Jake, maybe you could get your own franchise. See you Nov 25.

I should think a Krispy Kreme franchise on Bonaire would present a problem for Jake's waistline!

Jake doesn't need a KK on Bonaire since he has a loyal following bringing his weekly supply to him. I'm surprised he still accepts our bribes, he and Linda are such good sports to allow us to invade their privacy. Three cheers for the Richters, HIP HIP HOORAY!! I don't know what I would do without Bonaire Talk...maybe talk to my husband more. He says I'm addicted, he's totally right for once.
