We will be visiting Oct 16-30 and have found this board to be a valuable resource, answering most questions without needing the ask them. I have a few questions that I have not been able to find the answers.

I have been to Bonaire 4 times before (97,98,99,00). In 1999 we dove Nukove many times and loved it. In 2000 it was so disappointing to see that the site was mostly rubble. In 1998 we dove some of the sites in Washington park and loved them as well. My question is are any of the sites from Nukove north and those in the park recommended anymore or are were they all destroyed?

A couple of the dives we did on the southern part of the island, we entered at one dive site and exited at another. Does anyone know if it's possible to go/dive from Karpata to Ol'Blue? Also does anyone know if you can enter/exit when shore diving at La Dania's Leap? If it is then we may want to try going from La Dania's to Ol'blue.

We had the good fortune on only one of our trips to be able to dive Willemstoren Lighthouse. It was a great dive. Conditions permitting we would like to try some of the east shore diving, can anyone recommend a good guide?

Can anyone recommend the best time and place to see the Flamingos as they are arriving/departing the island?

We plan on kayaking and snorkling the mangroves this year just to try it. Another activity that we are considering is visting/snorkling the caves of Bonaire. Is a guide required/recommended for this activity? How does one find the caves that you can snorkle in?

The current usually flows North by Karpata, so I think you would have some trouble getting all the way to Ol Blue. You can do it the other way though, and do La Dania's leap to Karpata. Thats a really nice dive.

We will check it out when we get there (only 4 more days until were there!). How's the entry and exit at La Dania's? I havn't been to that site yet. My buddy would like to somehow shore dive Rappel, so thats why I was thinking may Ol'Blue to La Dania's or Karpata.

We visited three caves on a guided tour booked through Buddy Dive. It was well worth the $45 (I think) per person. Two of the caves were dry and the last one was wet, snorkle time. I do not recommend doing this on your own for safety reasons. We enjoyed this adventure and as I mentioned above it was well worth the money. The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful in telling us about the history and answering all our questions. Have fun!
