thanks to BT'ers Sparty and Sparty's Wife and their friend we were alerted to dolphins in the area yesterday at vista blue. there was a pretty strong north to south current but we hung in there and finally got to see the dolphins. Mary and i were diving with our neighbor sandy. i saw a large porcupine fish and sandy and i were watching it. she was fixated on it when all of a sudden a dolphin swam right behind her and in front of me. a small pod of them stayed in the area with us for about 10-15 minutes.

the next night we did a night dive at andrea I to watch ostrapods mate. the best night is five days after the full moon and about 30-45 minutes after sunset. we turned out lights off and saw thousands of little glow-in-the-dark creatures making their way from the seabed to the surface. mary doesn't normally like night diving but she loved this one. i'd recommend it.
