I am sitting in a hotel in Houston. I should be standing in line waiting for my luggage or clearing Bonaire customs right now. Tropical storm Fay has messed up my vacation. Air Jamaica evidently couldn't get out of Montego Bay yesterday and the storm landed right on top of Houston in the wee hours of this morning.

The storm has all but broken up, so it looks like a go for tomorrow morning, but I was sure planning on having my first Polar by now.

jeff, what a bummer. for that, you are allowed to whine! so does that mean you will get to bonaire on monday? on our way home last year, there was a nasty storm over montego, and the pilot ditched the first 2 landings and finally made it on the 3rd...have to say that i was a little shook up by the time we touched ground as everyone started clapping...where was the photo in your profile pic taken? it is small, do you have a larger version? (trying to distract you from your misery)...pretend you have an amstel in front of you...that might help too:)

No, we'll be there tomorrow afternoon.

Hope we don't have to make 3 approaches at Montego Bay. I really wish they would change the name anyway...I cringe everytime the Captain comes on the PA and announces that we are on "Final" approach.

Profile pic was taken in Grand Cayman this Spring. I don't have it published in larger form anywhere, but pictures that I have taken can be found on my website http://www.digitaldiver.net

Ellen, if you see this, could you test my new website? I know you had some problems with the previous version, and I want to make sure my new server is doing what they promised.

Jeff, I just visited your website and really enjoyed it. Your photos are great and it seems to be working just fine. I am sorry that the storm delayed you but you'll be there soon. I hope you have a great trip and I look forward to seeing more of your pictures.
