My family is planning to stay at Sand Dollar at the end of March. I have been there several times in the past and was wondering what I can reasonably expect by way of shore diving, restaurants, boat diving, etc. at that time (end of March/beginning of April). Would it make sense for me to book elsewhere on Bonaire given the storm damage and the pace of recovery?

You can still do shore diving from Sand Dollar. Although the pier is has not been replaced, there are ladders and stairs to the water. Green Parrot has shut down until new space can be arranged but the head chef and several of the waiters have started working at Den Laman right next door which is now open for lunch as well as dinner. Boat diving is continuing on a normal schedule via the Harbour Village Marina. Andre/Sand Dollar Dive and Photo has a complete new shop setup near the parking area of Den Laman restaurant.
