I'm retiring in January and I'm interested in visiting Bonaire for a month or two to scout it out as a retirement residence. (They say I'm young at heart and fun If you have any leads, drop me a line.

Hi Jack & welcome to BT! Don't know how much time you've previously spent on Bonaire but my suggestion is to touch base with the folks over at Sunbelt who could perhaps get you a long term rental for several months so you can scout out possibilities yourself. Talk to one of their agents who do have a wealth of info as to what's going on locally. Good luck & enjoy your retirement on sunny Bonaire if that's where you end up.

Thanks. Where would be the best place to post a request if anyone in Bonaire wants to trade houses? And cars? I'm in Southern Ontario, Canada farmland, near a cool beach town on Lake Erie, 90 minutes from Toronto or Niagara Falls.

Jack: There are many many sites on the internet for this. Just goggle house swapping or any such phrase.

Jack, I'd talk to Benny at Bonaire Town Homes. They are very reasonable, and Benny knows everyone and everything about Bonaire. He's also an AWESOME dive buddy....
