Any idea what kind of fish this is? I saw it today Diving at Oil Slick leap. I think it's some type of balloonfish but I don't know what type

sorry they were all the same photo I have 4 different photo's but I was having trouble uploading them...I'm new to Bonaire talks and still working out the kinks ... like making pictures smaller I have no idea how to do that.

Thanks Deborah and Rebecca for this posting! I was diving in St. Kitt's a couple of weeks ago, and saw the SAME fish for the first time (have never seen one in Bonaire, or anyplace else for that matter), got a good picture of it, and had planned to post it here with the same question -- what IS it? I did get out the Humann and DeLoach Fish ID book, and concluded that it had to be the Web Burrfish -- that's the closest I could come to it. This confirms it.

The only web burrfish we've seen was at Witch's Hut, not that far away from Oil Slick...

we just found a web burrfish a few hours ago at 1000 steps. probably the same guy slowly making a trip north....LOL

I had never seen one before and almost ran right into it on the dive. I thought he was cute. My other pictures are better But I couldn't figure out how to post them. I really like fish from the porcupine fish family because with their big eyes I think they look like a cartoon character.

rebecca, a few weeks ago we dove jeannie's glory and saw two porcupine fish doing what we think was a mating ritual. we watched for about 15 minutes. i'll post pictures soon
