I'm looking to stay at a resort for a dive trip and it MUST have a HOT TUB/SPA/JACUZZI. I know Buddy's does not.

For those of you that have been there, can you offer suggestions?

If I end up staying at a resort that is not equipped with such because of availability, then is it possible to "visit" the hot tubs of other resorts...preferably in the area of Capt. Don's, Buddy's, Sand Dollar?

Thanks for your suggestions.

Deep Blue View has a hot tub. www.deepblueview.com
DBV is NOT a resort but a lovely bed and breakfast with it's own wonderful dive op.

Evan, are you a diver? It doesn't say so in your profile. Please be very careful, if your a diver, if you spend too much time in the hot tub, and dive, your fingee's will get wrinkely and stay that way your whole holiday!!! :-)

Isn't there some concern about the use of hot tubs, diving, and dcs?

Hot tubs and DCS - may need to call DAN. I just checked their web site FAQ section and could not readily identify any related topic.

There's has been some talk in the past about either a hot shower or hot tub causing DCS, there's this, this, this and this. I'd say the juries out, your call. Although I like the last link and Dov Vikingo's advice to all things in moderation, although I saw no mention of Bright's.

In that case, the tub at Deep Blue View is an ideal compromise, water is pumped from the main pool at the same temperature but there are seats and massage jets, same as a normal hot tub. It's also raised from the main terrace to take further advantage of the glorious view. I lounged in it sipping champagne on my birthday last year and would be quite happy to celebrate like that every year :o)

Hot water is suppose to be avoided after a dive , as is alcohol ,and over strenuous activities .
After a cold water dive the hot tub is sanctuary . An ice cold Heineken ( bright substitute ) is rewarding . Two out of three ain't bad .
