September and October are the main spawning months. But it does happen at other times, we saw lots of sex on the reef last March. Sharp Tailed eels mating and smoking sponges at noon.

It's a full moon and that seems to stir up some hormones on the reef. Last night I saw tons of fire worms getting it on. Also a couple of sea cucumbers cuddling. Today some stove pipe sponges were spawning. But in general you need to be here Sept/Oct for the real spawning circus.
