I'l be in Bonaire first week of March and would like to take Nitrox instruction. What are recommended dive shops for such instruction? Thanks.

I took the course from Leonel (sp? I'm sorry) last year... he laid back, very knowledgeable and a friend... Harbour Village... you can't go wrong...

Welcome to BT John. First - check with the shop where you are staying, if there is one.

Secondly get the PADI (I assume) book, tables, crew pack, etc and study before you leave. Do the Knowledge Reviews in advance.

Most dove ops will have staff that can teach EAN. Buddy's, Habitat, Plaza, BOA, Belmar, WannaDive........ Check their web sites. I have yet to run into any instructional issues with staff at various dive centers.

Hi John,

If taking the PADI Nitrox course..no dives are required, just theory and practical usage of the oxygen analyzer.

Just throwing this out there as you could easily do it locally and then not have to worry about taking up valuable vacation time. :-)

Just my half cent.

J

I don't think ANY of the agencies require dives anymore, so take it at home before you go and get it over with.

My local dive shop offers it as a one night class for $75, as opposed to $175 at at least on shop on island. My nitrox cert was through TDI; once again no dives required.
