There have been a few posts re lumber off shore Divi. How severely has Calabas reef been damaged. We are planning to use our timeshare for 2 weeks next spring.

Well Ted there will be two possibilities either it will all be picked up by then or more likely be new habitat for the fishies and coral. Most of the severe damage is in the shallows and most reports are that the deeper reef is fine.

Most of the lumber is from the dive pier north. The reef has some damage but it's not devastated. The area of lumber (near the sailboat moorings) stretches from 30ft to over 90ft. You'll still enjoy Calabas.

They lost all of their lockers on the pier, and the walkway that raps around the diveshop. One of the boats smashed into the kitchen and ended up on the rocks... Ron
