Lydia.. It's like a bath! I don't have a temp gauge but would estimate it to be at least 84 degrees. Just using a skin and that's it. By comparison, in Feb I use a 3 mil & hood.

Thanks, Walt. I know all about those warm pockets in the shallows, coincidentally right by the dock steps/ladder.

Marcus..Viz has been pretty good. So far this trip we've just dove the southern sites. Dove Angel City yesterday & went north on the first reef at 60 - 80 feet & about 12-15 mins later we arrived at the hooker. Nice dive!

I am known for diving half the year in a 7mm full suit on Bonaire but even I consider it 'bloody hot' these days. Both outside and in the water. 'Coldest' point today at Salt Pier: 29.5 Celcius, 85.1 Fahrenheit at 43 ft.

Amen, Seb. Nice for the humans but murder on the water environment and marine life. cb

Rest assured I was looking out for them last week cautiously swimming with a mask & snorkel. Especially after the wind reversal. Fortunately nothing was sighted.

Brian - Thanks - I was looking - I actually didn't see any Jelly's of any kind for the entire two weeks.

Sounds like the temp is pretty warm. I head down tomorrow. I'm trying to go light with the packing, and it sounds like I can get away with only bringing a shorty. Thoughts?

I would bring a 3 mil. If you are planning a lot of repetitive dives you will be glad to have it. We always start light and after a few days need a little more insulation. Nothing can spoil a dive like being even a little bit chilly. You live in Fla. and probably know that.

We are going the second week of November, does anyone have knowledge of the temps that time of year?
