Just curious, has anyone been keeping a list of what Bonaire is rated in each catagory each year in the Scuba Diving Mag's annual poll.

We recently met some new divers we might like to take to Bonaire and such a list might be very helpful in demonstrating just great a choice Bonaire could be.

Mel..I could never understand how they rated Curacao as having a healthier marine environment then Bonaire. I have concluded that it was a typo.

Vince, agreed. The poll is some sort of normalized popularity contest....what places do people rank highly, regardless of how many people respond, or how informed those people are. My guess is that Curacao does not have nearly as many knowledgeable, discriminating divers as does Bonaire, but those who were there thought it was terrific, perhaps not based on much. "Healthy Marine Environment" is not really an opinion, it is supposedly an informed, factual statement, but many divers would not know any better if they weren't getting around to a lot of places for comparison. In contrast, the divers I've met in Bonaire by-and-large know their stuff.

Or, maybe it's just a typo!
