Good Morning Bonaire! Lost a flipper Monday at Angel City, and I'm hoping someone might find it. It's mate is lonely and wanting to be reunited very badly. It's a black Tusa X-Pert Zoom, split fin, size XS-S. Please help it get home soon! I'd be willing to pay a reward and shipping to help get it back, just to make it worth the trouble. Contact me here or e-mail rayebo@live.com.

Hi Raye. Sorry to hear about you lost fin. When I saw the title, I thought the dolphin was in danger, LOL. Good luck

Which reef? North or south of the entrance? I can be persuaded to go out and look for it. :-)

I have a bum knee and hubby assists with fin attachment and removal. We were exiting the surf and one just slipped away. We didn't realize one was missing until we were back at the condo. Went back and snorkeled around looking for it, but couldn't find it anywhere.

Raye, Curacao is most likely where you'll find it. Or...if you're really lucky, it's on Klein Bonaire along the leeward side. :-)

When's the cleanup? :-)

I thought Flipper was a dolphin who lived in the sea , did you mean fin?

I've always called my fins “flippers,” my husband just laughs at me.

Hope you find your fin.

We've called them flippers since the children were small...fins, flippers, it's all the same to me. Apparently "lost flipper" got more attention than a lowly "lost fin"! Thanks everyone for responding and even helping me look.

So I didn't find it, but I have been passing the word. Hopefully it will turn up. :-)

Raye, you're in good company with the term flipper instead of fin.

Many years ago, before his tragic accident in '95, Christopher Reeve, aka Superman, did a 4 segment documentary on SCUBA diving and continuously couldn't find his 'flippers'. :-)

PS Back in New Jersey ): Wish I were back on Bonaire, instead. cb

Hi Carole. I just found who did it. It was Today's Diver out of California.

www.oceantechnologysystems.com/movies.shtml

Jack Chalk may have a copy. I think it was filmed either with the Habitat crew or maybe the old Sand Dollar bunch. It was either late '94 or early '95. Chris was injured in May of '95.

That's the best I can do from this side of the world of limited information if you know what I mean. :-) So sorry you had to leave Bonaire. Hope you had a good time. Someday you'll leave Bonaire for vacation and not to return home, yeah?

Yeah! Definitely discussing living on Bonaire in the future if we can. Or else Northern Arizona with trips to Bonaire as often as possible.

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out further manana. Ayo. Carole

Northern Arizona, Carole? Flagstaff, Williams? I went to school at NAU and we camp in Northern Arizona all the time...

Hi, Brad,

Yes, maybe even more northeast from Flagstaff. Out further away from "civilization" if possible but not "too" far! LOL. Some of the towns surrounding the Sedona are great. Love the climate up there and the people.

Bonaire would be our first pick but AZ is also a target for us. Beautiful country, clean air, great climate and not crowded like New Jersey where we now live. Just gorgeous out there! cb
