Can anyone point me to a dive shop where we could have our 14 year old take the class and get certified for junior open water. Looking for a patient instructor good with kids. Thanks.

I would suggest having them do all the classroom work at home and then just do the open water portion on Bonaire. Check with the dive shop you will be using, pretty much all of them are good.

roseanne is right take the course work at home and do open water on bonaire. both my children were certified at divi flamingo.

An advantage of doing the bookwork and practical instruction at the same time is that your 14 yr old won't be bored to death and lose interest. Actually going in the water and doing dives is great motivation for learning the academics.

Not to mention the continuity between the book work and water skills.
