Greetings,
I will be on Bonaire March 23 to April 5. I am Open Water with 30 dives and want now to do at least Advanced OW, and NitrOx. I'll have two friends for a period (M25-M30) who'd also like further skills. We are good students in good shape, though one of us is increasingly bald.

We are looking for a rock-solid, well known outfit with a few serious but not too severe instructors, and with good rental gear we could use for all our diving outside class as well.

We would be grateful for recommendations, specific precautions, and all useful wisdom, if any of you would be so kind

Daniel, welcome to Bonaire Talk:-) Where are you staying? Most of the resorts have dive shops on the premisis, or work closely with one and would have instructors that could accomplish your goals.

If you don't have a shop where you are staying, Dive Inn (Bert and Janette are wonderful) or Wannadive come to mind of one's I've used and could recommend. Email them ahead of time however to set it up in advance.

As a very frequent visitor to Bonaire, I would recommend the Deep Blue View B&B resort both for a great place to stay (Trip Advisor Winner) and as a great place for diving instruction. Esther and Menno are probably some of the best instructors I have seen and will normally teach on a one to one basis. They are both patient and very caring. Good luck

I did my AOW through Wannadive and they were great (although the instructor I had has moved to a different dive shop if that makes a difference).

ALL the dive operators on Bonaire you will find to be VERY good and readily meet your needs. If there is a dive operation attached to where you are staying, contract them, it will be the most convenient.. Almost all operations are PADI, you will also Find CMAS, SSI and NAUI.

Personal recommendations are pretty much personal loyalities..If you are not staying a resort with dive operation, take a day, visit each shop, talk to the instructors. When you find one that meets you personal needs then you have found a home.

My favorite is Capt Don's Habitat. The dive operation, which including the biggest fleet of boat, the staff and most of all the reef. You can dive Reef Scientifico 3 times a day and still never see but a small piece of what Bonaire has to offer.

Daniel, There are many good dive ops on Bonaire. Bart at Wanna Dive has always taken care of our needs. You will never see Bart without a smile on his face!!!!
