Hi folks,
While I understand it is "not done" to point to ones 'commercial' interest (and would never do, if it hadn't something extraordinary) I do not want to withhold you a grandiose picture of a humpback whale made by Patrick Beijck two weeks ago while diving at Cai. www.wannadive.com click news. Incredible!

Totally AWESOME!!!! Simply majestic and well, I could only hope someday to see one. :-) Thank you so much for sharing with us, Bart!
P.S. I can't wait till my son comes home today and show him this pic! Will be on island soon and maybe, just maybe... you never know what the sea holds, that's the beauty of it and the reason Bonaire keeps calling us all back again and again.

Not only is a humpback, it is also about the best picture of a humpback you will ever see! And! If you were there you too could have seen it while snorkeling.:-).

A small clarification to the story to give credit: The whale was actually spotted by my friend Inka after a guided dive at Cai. She works for Dive Friends. Her guests indeed did not believe it was a whale and thought it was a turned over boat untill they saw the tail. After that they saw Patrick and his group about to go in and pointed out the whale to Patrick. He indeed swam a record distance in record speed and made a SUPERB picture. Kudos!!!!

Bas.

Tom that sounds a bit - crabby. Maybe Humpy can do both. The last Humpback I can remember was reported in Bonaire was January 2007. We saw some huge splashes off Klein (from Capn Don's) and it was spotted later off (I think) off Pink Beach.

For you folks coming in September the Coral Spawning should be 18th to 24th Sept, we are not sure if we will be around for it this year.
