Hey Steve thank you for the message. My e-mail is having all sorts of trouble, computers, I hope diving is easier than understanding and operating a computer. I just talked to Kim at travel management and she is booking my dates with you for the day after we arrive. I am also trying to find out if we should by our regulators and BC vests before we go or rent. What is your suggestion? Thanks again

Hi,
Owning your own equipment is ultimately the best thing to do. You know it's being looked after properly etc. We have plenty of rental equipment here should you choose not buy. My only suggestion is not to rush into buying, there are so many choices out there, get as much info and imput from impartial sources first.
Steve

Steve, I was wondering if you carry x-small BC's and wetsuits. I am kinda small and the last BC I used was a small and it was to big. It made it extra hard to get that nuetral bouyence. I think I spelled that all wrong but I think you get the point. If you do is it possible to reserve one for when we take our open water class, we should be doing the class on July30th.Thanks again for all your help.

Hi, We have Xs Bc's available so no problem there. I'll make sure there is one for when you arrive.

Syndee,
When I got certified last sept, I had similar questions on whether to buy equipment or not. I opted to buy the wetsuit because the rental is approx $10 day, and for $100 I got a 0.5mm wetsuit that fit my needs for the whole week (and I now own it).
You can always choose to buy the wetsuit in Bonaire, I believe the prices are very reasonable (at least the ones I saw when comparison shopping). And I did notice they had a variety of sizes as well.
I did not buy the Reg & bcd for the same reason Steve mentioned (there's so much to choose from!) but the rental rates at are reasonable and they took care of any problems on the spot so I felt comfortable.
Toucan was great when I did my open water referral certification with them, you'll have a great time!
-Ana
