I would like some suggestions for shore dives for the wounded warriors once I get them certified.
By The way if any body wants to join us let me know!

David, you folks are staying at a place which in my opinion has one of the prettiest house reefs on Bonaire. However you must already know that so, I would suggest asking to dive through other fantastic house reefs like:

Divi
Carib Inn
Black Durgeon
Sand Dollar/Bonaire Dive and Adventure

Other spots to consider are:
Windsock
Red Beryl
Salt Pier
Town Pier

If the current is not running and your students want to pose for their loved ones (and us) back home, the Wreck "Willy" at underwater web-cam site at Eden is a great dive.

Wish I could be there to join you all.

Tom

Playa Cha Cha is also a nice easy entrance, right across from the Dive Inn.

Buddy Dive (just south of Cap Don's)

Hmmm....I just had a thought David, are you on Bonaire right now???? Why didn't I think of this earlier? What about having someone video/dvd their dive??? I know the perfect person and the perfect place, and I know he would do it...let me send out the SOS...

Being dropped off at Hamlet #5 and swimming one way to Buddy's or captain Don's is a great dive. you just need someone(non diver) to drive the car and meet you.

Plaza resort reef is great also.
As is the Yellow Submarine site.

Enjoy

I really like the Yellow Submarine dive site. Easy entry and you can see all kinds of fish there.

OK, I've emailed Dave. My idea was, if we have money left over from the dinner, and we also have a little extra money in the "till"....to have a guide video them on a couple of their dives after they are certified. They would each get a DVD of the dive. I'm arranging it now, I just need to get ahold of Dave. I've emailed him, hopefully he'll get the message!

Cyndee, I'll be seeing Dave in about an hour, as I've been doing still photography shots of their training. I do believe they have a videographer within the group, but I'll let him know to try to check his email. Their schedule has been pretty tight so far, so I would imagine he may not have done so (checked his email) yet.

Cyndee, I just spoke with Dave; he says the following would be very much appreciated if there are extra funds left over. First priority would be for gear rental for the "signicant others" who are also in certification training. Should that not be an option, the rental of an underwater scooter or two for the Wounded Warriors would be wonderful. I feel very honored to have gotten to know these fine men in the past few days. They should be an inspiration to us all! Susan
