I was curious to know if there is anyone out there that could help me with my situation. I am in love with a local and it does not appear that there is anyway we could be together without getting married first. Any suggestions that would work with the local government? I would love to hear anything but NO is out of th question for me.

I respect that no is out of the question. That said, I would encourage you to identify all of the issues so that you are at least aware of them.

Would you both be living in Bonaire or the USA? Would you both want to work?

We would like it if I moved there and yes I would want to work. I have looked at the requirements for applying to become a citizen but coming up with the amount of money they ask seems impossible,

Kellie, maybe you could stay for a long period of time first? I think you can stay for three months at a time without becoming a resident. Maybe stay three months, go home and visit family for a week or so, and come back. Maybe that would work for you? Good luck!
