My friend needs to find a HSA instructor on Bonaire for her student's referral...anybody know of an instructor or a shop that does this? Thanks!

If I am not mistaken, Plaza Resort has an HSA instructor. Check the HSA Web site as well. http://www.hsascuba.com/scripts/find_instructors.php Some of them are still here on Bonaire

Barbara, the HSA usually stays at Divi, and the Wounded Warriors are also going to be staying at Captain Don's this month, so in addition to Michael's link, you may want to email Divi and Cap Don's dive shops in addition and ask them:-) Good luck!

Ah, thanks, guys. Those are all excellent sites for access issues, too. I'll pass them on!

I don't know enough about Bonaire to help, but I'm a member of the support group for our local HSA group. When will she be there? Also, Please copy me on what you find, we are always looking for recommendations/referrals/information on HSA dive shops to augment the basic information.

Mike, I will tell you. She's getting her email to HSA headquarters bounced for some reason, so I thought I'd try to get her some info here.
I guess when she did her instructor training, they went to Long Beach and worked with the Wounded Warrior program for their internship. Next time I see her without a regulator in her mouth, I need to ask her more about it!

Barbara,

Jim Gatacre, president of HSA, will be arriving on Bonaire October 21st for a week of diving with six (6)other HSA divers. We will be staying at the Divi Flamingo.

I have had no trouble e-mailing Jim at anytime.

Don R.

Sorry, forgot to ask what is the water temperature?

Thank you.

Hi, Don, I think the water temp is about 83f right now, seems to be between 82f and 84f.
If you run into a HSA instructor who lives and teaches on Bonaire and would care to pass it on, that would be wonderful. That nice Susan Davis is asking for me too.
Don't know what the trouble with email to HSA is...I'm just trying to help a friend.

There are H.S.A. instructors at Flamingo Divi and I think there are H.S.A. instructors at Plaza Resort as well
