Hi

There is a group of 4 of us going back to Bonaire in Feb or March. We were looking into the Playa Lechi Apartments. Photo Tours Divers appears to be the closest dive shop. I have not been able to find anyone who has dove with them. We just want to rent tanks for 6 days. Any experience with them? Do they have a place to store your gear at their location in town? The thought of lugging wet dive equipment up to our Apt doesn't seem like fun.

Karen, I will be diving with them this time around. Have heard nothing but good things. If i don't like them will let you know. I'll be down there in Sept.

Hi Bob,

Do you know if their location in town has overnight gear storage?

Thanks
Karen

Both Photo tours and Yellow Submarine are extremely friendly and professional. Being part of 'Dive Friends Bonaire' they have 4 locations. You can get tanks from any of these four and also return them with any of these four. If you're a Nitrox diver (you get a free upgrade to Nitrox on your air package) you have to go to the Location near the airport as they only have Nitrox on that location.

Good luck!

Bas.

To add to the previous message (and answering the PM you sent):

The downtowm location of Yellow Submarine does have a locker room. To my knowledge (but I have not used it nor checked with them...so maybe you should check with them directly) you can leave your gear there overnight.

As far as I know all locations have rinse tanks.

Karen, I have just returned from Bonaire. Yellow sub. is now my place for diving on the island. Boat dive to Klien were the best that I have done because they allow you to drift dive the island. I was getting in 80 minute dives over there and seeing the lot of different sites on one dive. They all have rinse tanks and yellow sub does have gear storage, which i used the whole time that i was there. If possible get Capt. G and Albert as your dive crew. Enjoyed my time and knowledge that they had of Klien. Good luck and Good diving.
