Does anyone have experience with NAUI's dive insurance? Our son just got certified so I am re-evaluating diver's Insurance. I know people that have had great experiences using DAN and I feel confident that that would be a good choice. I know there are other plans out there but after reading much information the only other plan that I feel would be a good fit is NAUI Deluxe. NAUI offers a family plan for $95 compared with buying 3 individual $70 plans from DAN. NAUI's accident medical coverage is $500,000 occ./$500,000 agg. and DAN's is $250,000 per occurrence. Either one is a great buy as far as insurance goes so looking for any feedback on either plan. Thanks

Check with DAN, but unless they have changed something they also have a family plan.

Unless I am wrong my understanding is DAN's family plan is for their membership not for the insurance coverage. When you sign up for the insurance it is $70 each.

Greg, you are correct. The Family Plan is for membership (which we have), and we have the preferred insurance for myself, michael and dylon.

I have to say go with DAN with my recent experience. When Paul was in Bonaire and had his heart attack they were the greatest. My primary insurance would not pay said I had to pay first when I called Dan they paid the bill so I didn't have to come with money and is working with my insurance. The people from Dan were great during the whole process. They also are paying for the change in airline tickets and my lodging for the week extra that we had to stay.

Hi Gregg
Just to let you know that Undercurrent just did a review of all the dive insurance companies, besides Dan and Naui, there are 4 others,Padi, Divesafe, DiveAssure and DSI. you might want to look at all your choices.

Bill

Thanks for the replies. I have definitely heard many good things about DAN and am sure I can't go wrong with that choice. Too bad I haven't heard of anyone having experience with NAUI's plan.

Bill, I did read that article and that is what helped me narrow it down to DAN & NAUI. Unfortunately, the article didn't really have any ratings only that all plans should be good, some better for certain types of diving than others and that one should research for their own particular situation.

I was hoping to find someone that might have experience with NAUI's plan but for now I guess I'll lean towards NAUI.

Thanks again & if anyone has any experience with NAUI's dive insurance please share.

Does anyone know which dive insurances besides DAN are accepted in Bonaire?
