Greetings All! There is a memorial at Andrea II and I was wondering if any one knew the story behind it. Back in 2004 I dove the site from boat and the DM mentioned that there was a memorial, but not the story behind it. On my most recent trip, we entered from shore, headed north of the buoy and found it. I'm sorry but I don't remember the depth. However, I do have a photo of it. Whereas I only dive, I got to dive with Cindy Reeves, who is a photographer. She sent me the picture.

Any one know the story behind this one?

Well this is odd...no one knows? Did I offend everyone? Do I smell? Oh no...am I Jerry? Seriously, does any one know anything about this?

Welcome to "THE HOME".

Never seen it, buy looks like it could be for someone that went to the big dive on the other side?

Hey Tribs, maybe you could email the dive shop and ask them about the story and let us know. I have never seen it, but find it interesting. Maybe Cap'n Don may know of it?

Meryl, the power of suggestion is a powerful thing, now I see the "cat face" too! Not sure it really is though. Eyes are not what they used to be. Have to have my younger son take a look at it. Maybe he will be able to read it clearly and that might help.

I think it is supposed to read "RIP Friend." But...I can see the cat - but of course, I would see a cat. :-)

Maybe it is RIP and then someone's name. Nice dog, by the way. I will try to email the dive shop to see if any one can fill us in on this one. I really thought someone would know....Seb? Menno? Susan? Cap'n? Michael? Bas?

I was just reading in yesterdays paper about people's cremated remains being mixed with cement to make small blocks which are sunk for artificial reefs...maybe?????

Ha! That is what Michael and I are going to do. Have the "video" and everything:-) I just wish they would get approval to do it in California...as it is now, we will have to be shipped to Florida!

Well...the dive shop was gracious enough to reply. Unfortunately, they do not know the story either. :-( Maybe this will go down as a Bonairean Mystery....
