We are going to be staying in the Hato area and will be exclusively shore diving. Any suggestions on the best place to rent tanks as far as convenience, after hours availablitly, best price, etc?

Thanks,
Rick

Richard, most of (if not all) the resorts will rent tanks and have a shore diving "only" package. The routine for night dives is usually to sign up for a night dive tank, then when the shop closes nite tanks are left in a designated spot. You pick up your tank and drop it off when you are done. From what I have read (and almost everybody has a website) the shore dive package prices are equal. It really becomes a matter of convenience.

Also many, if not all, dive ops have drive through tank
pick up and drop off. More convenient. There are at
least 4 dive ops up in the Hato area-check them out.
