Another year has past! The Readers' Choice Award categories are listed in the current Scuba Diving Magazine. Bonaire came in first place in dive destination, shore diving, beginner diving and underwater photography. But then, we all know this!

Whooo hooo! But shhhhh, don't tell any one. They might all start flocking to Bon.

I'm reading my copy of Scuba Diving Magazine right now and I have to say I don't agree with these ratings at all. Bonaire Best Destination in the Caribbean/Atlantic? Give me a break. Aruba's a much better destination with its beaches, nightlife and wreck diving.

Aruba also has safe drinking water, compared to "what ever" in Bonaire.

Marcus, see there all you have to do ecplain to us what a Scuba Diving Magazine Critic you are and Ron Myers chimes right in and now you will have a buddy to lay in the sand with and go get drunk and maybe wreck dive with (after the hangover). Don't let the door hit you on your way out!! Ron

Marcus is very crafty. He wants Bonaire all to himself. :-)
Nice news, Sue and John!

True story Tish. By the way, good job on those posts under local items - you've been putting out some good useable info there.

Marcus & Ron,
You guys seem to understand.
If something nice takes place when you are in Bonaire, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.
If you had a really bad time, Post it to the world. Aruba is so much better. Cancun, what a nice place.
Not Bonaire, crime, rain, bugs, no beach, poor diving, lack of fish. Not setup for kids.
Wild dogs, rabbit donkeys, All the bars playing old disco till 2:00 AM. When the cruse ships come into port, Bonaire is over run with old women with blue hair. The poor men are dragged from t-shirt shop to t-shirt shop with there long white socks, and cameras. What about the pickpockets?

Not only that Jerry, but I read somewhere that they hand out free o rings at the dive shops on Aruba.

Thanks, Jerry, I DO understand. That's why I keep coming back year after year. Aruba is just a stopover on the way to paradise.

I have to agree with Marcus and Ron...they should have picked Aruba...

Jerry, "rabbit donkeys?" Now that's something I've never seen before...geez...red hot poker please on how those were "created." LOL...

Jerry is also right...6 cruise ships a day, blue hairs, BLACK SOCKS Jerry, not white (visualize with me here folks)....oh, and don't forget the sharks...no fish cause they have all been eaten by the sharks...

Have you seen the add for Enzite (BOB)?
Well all the guys on Bonaire smile like him, they are not taking Enzite, it's something in the water.

This is Bob, Bob is cool, living LARGE, buys new CLUBS. Get's a hole in one.

We should chang the name of Bonaire to BOB'S WORLD NV and add that It's all about the O thing.

I have to stop I'm making myself sick.

For those who are just joining us, this is not about the top 100 dive destinations.
It concerns the top 100 Bonaire tall tales.
Keep it up, folks.
Soon I will have my island to myself. :-)

Tish, I like the "Top 100 Bonaire Tales"

Yes folks, we are all just:

2. jesting
3. pulling your reg
4. pulling your fin
5. pulling your bootie
6. pulling your wetsuit
7. pulling your dry suit
8. pulling your snorkel
9. pulling your mask
10. pulling your weight belt

And the number one thing we are pulling?

1. Your O-ring

I better stop while I'm ahead

I just got word that the Bonaire transit workers will go on strike in support of the NY strike.
Here is a photo taken of the closed subway near the Divi dive shop.
