I understand that some dive shops will only let you take out one tank at a time for shore diving?
We're kind of spoiled since we always stay at Habitat and can easily grab 3 tanks and stick them in the truck and take off. But we are staying at Happy Holiday Homes in July and want to do an unlimited dive pkg with a shop that will let us grab 3 at a time.
Anyone have any suggestions?

might try buddy's, we were able to take 3 apiece all of the time, however, we were staying at the resort

David, we stayed at Belmar, and Buddy's is now running the dive shop. We were not limited in the number of tanks we could take at one time.

However, I believe, in most cases the dive ops are "suggesting" you only take one take at a time, it's not a hard and fast rule.

Doesn't HHH have a shop they work with? If so, email them and ask...if not, pick a shop and email them and inquire about their policy.

Happy Holiday Homes works with Photo Tours. We just returned from HHH Saturday. Photo Tours limits divers to 2 tanks at a time per diver. The tank cage opens @ 8:00 A.M. and closes @ 5:00 P.M. They ask that you return empties by 4:30 P.M. Also, they require you to sign the tanks in and out on a clipboard. Based on how we dive Bonaire, we found this inconvenient and it required us to plan more than we really wanted to - it is in direct contradiction to the concept of diving freedom. I'm glad to read Buddy's is not that strict because we are staying at the Belmar in September.

Marcus, the current set up at Belmar is they have a "cage" on the outside of the building (by the road, basically a drive through so to speak). You get a key to the cage, and can get tanks at any time of day. There was one morning when there were no FULL tanks, just a bunch of empty ones. I went inside to see if we could drive to Buddy's Resort and grab some, but the gal had just driven up with a truckload of full ones, so we grabbed them.

Cynde: Thanks for the info. We have no problem with the cage as long as we can access it at any time. This wasn't the case at Photo Tours. Thanks again. We looked at the Belmar and thought it looked great!!

I am staying at Lion's in July. Last year, no one said anything about restrictions, although we only probably took 2 each at a time, maybe three once or twice. Is Lion's tank pick up by the road still open, or does everything go through Buddy's now?

Everything goes through Buddy's. The little tank shed has gone from Lions

When we dove with Photo Tours they explained that tanks were going missing and that the sign out and the suggestion were to help them track where things were and we were shown how to access the cage if we wanted to do some night dives. No one ever pointed fingers- even when (I think) we forgot to sign the tanks in the last time. We never felt that we were being restricted- and we noticed several times that people had taken more than two tanks for the day. Plus Photo Tours were very nice about lending us lockers to store our gear in so we weren't lugging it all back and forth to the Sorobon.(lockers that locked!!)

I believe there are a few other dive ops that have you sign tanks in and out. I don't see that as a problem. They have to track them somehow (in case some go missing). Years ago when we stayed at Sand$, this was their policy, it certainly wasn't policing ;-)

Once again, the cage itself is not an issue if there is 24 Hour access - No one at Photo Tours ever offered us 24 access to the cage, therefore, we assumed this wasn't allowed. If we consider diving with them again, we will be sure and ask about 24 hour access to the cage.

I have used Photo Tours the last 3 times to Bonaire and we were always shown how to access tanks 24 hours a day if you wanted to go night diving, even at their satelite location at Hamlet which I am not sure is there anymore.

At Buddy's, tanks are always available, but sometimes they ask who wants tanks for a nightdive, so just check.
