Me and my family is going to Bon. in early Apr. Me and my Mom and Dad just learned how to dive and were thinking about taking a couple shore dives. Is it hard to shore dive? And is there anywhere that is fun in Bon.?

there are alot of fun things to do on bonaire, what type of things are you looking for?

look up www.boanire.org it will give you some ideas.

if you are looking for an amusement park or a golf course, you are out of luck. but there are many other interesting and fun activities to do - besides scuba and snorkeling which are wonderful.

i find shore diving wonderful and not difficult, entry and exit can be a bit tricky at some locations. its best to have some good booties on your feet for protection.

Jake,

My family has been to Bonaire twice in the last year. We came in Jan and March. The diving was great and the Island frame of mind is still sorely missed. We are contemplating a trip in July and have not seen any archives about the conditions during that time of year. Is the water clarity better, the bugs less, and the wind calmer. Thanks for your advice.

Brad,

July will be warmer than January and March - both air and water temperature. Tends to be pretty dry (means less mosquitos) - decent winds most of the time. Water clarity is probably a bit better too since there's usually less surge then.

Thanks Jake,

Will be down on July 6 -13 staying at Buddy's. If you need us to bring anything we will have lots of extra space in our bags. I might be able to find a pickled daikon (sp) for you.

Brad - I've been to Bonaire for the last two July's... and will be there again this July - 6-13, same as you. The weather and diving are fantastic in July! We'll be staying at the Black Durgon, just a few doors away from Jake and Linda's. Maybe this year I'll even walk down to the street cam!
