By the way I keep forgetting to ask if any one has seen the "Giant Moray" on the Windjammer? I found her on the very bottom (Starboard side rail) at roughly the midship portion of the wreck, the Eel seemed to have been injured perhaps by fishing line around her circumference approx. at the gill line. At this depth I was abviously under the influence of some narcosis, but this eel was in my memory as big, or bigger than the one they used to have at Den Lamen. Does the eel have a name? Has anyone else seen her?

Rob

There are 2 large Green Morays that hang out in the area of the Windjammer. One has an injury that has healed. It looks like a large hole in its side; this is on the smaller of the 2. The other one we saw on the reef last Friday while filming for the Outdoor Life Network. The first show will run April 1st at 10pm. The show is called Dive Today.

Walt...yes we want more info...when we dove the hooker in sept, there was a very large morey hanging out at the bottom (only his head was sticking out, and it was about (let me get my ruler so I don't embelish too much) 7 inches diameter. i got a pic but it isn't good cause there were a few folks trying to see it and fins were kicking up the sand.

The film crew working for OLN was on Bonaire shooting from the 3rd through the 10th of March. Capt. Dons Habitat and Rum Runners hosted the film crew with additional Dive support provided by Rec Tek Scuba. We did 3 to 5 dives per day, including many night dives for one segment. They hoped to get footage for 4 shows on OLN and 1 show for the Travel Channel. They also shot footage for TCB for promotional videos.

We dove South, we dove North, we dove over at Klein Bonaire, and we snorkeled the Mangroves, so it should be a balanced presentation of what Bonaire has to offer. They also shot lots of land footage for the "Sites and Sounds of Bonaire". It was a very intense 9 days of diving most of it done from shore. I am just now getting caught up on sleep - we worked from 6 or 7 AM till 10 or 11 PM. Chris the underwater cameraman got some GREAT shots. I could tell you more but then I would have to kill you. So I guess you will just have to tune into the Outdoor Life Network Monday April 1st at 10 PM to see the first show.
