Are the shore diving sites around Bonaire marked with signs (eg, "100 Steps", "Bachelor's Beach", etc.) that you can see from the road? I was looking thru shorediving.com, and all they have is GPS coordinates. Thanks.

Shore dives are marked with yellow stones along the road and these have the names of the sites on them.

"Bonaire Diving made easy" which is widely available on the island has considerable detail about how to get in and out of the sites, what to look for etc. Frequently there is a little path marked with coral rubble showing the way in. Often in the water, there is some kind of a marker in the water that shows where to head back in toward the shore.

The sites all have yellow marker buoys to which the boats moor, but these are also good guide points for entry and exit.

Try www.shorediving.com and www.bonairedivingpro.com/map.html

Both sites have a wealth of information. Wish I had known about them before my first trip.

i hope the gps thing doesn't mean that you will be taking one on your trip, don't leave anything in the car while shore diving, we take a folding ice bag, with koolaide and towels, never had a problem with something like that, but nothing else stays in cars on dives, don't worry about finding the dive sites easiest thing in the world to do, but be careful, bonaire is contagous can't seem to break it's spell, it'll be our 7th year in june
