In April I'm flying to Bonaire & Curacao for two weeks of diving. With the exception of wetsuit, mask & fins, I don't own any dive equipment. For the last several years I haven't been diving often enough to make it cost effective to buy my own equipment, but then again I haven't taken any two week dive vacations during that time, either. Anyway, I'm trying to decide whether to invest in my own gear or just show up and rent. I'd appreciate it if anyone could tell me how much to expect to spend per week to rent a reg, BCD, belt & weights in either Bonaire or Curacao. Thanks!

Doug, email the dive shop on Bonaire where you will be staying. We rented bc's and regs for the kids this last time, and it was around $122.00 per person for 6 days of diving where we stayed. On Bonaire, they don't charge for the weights, comes with the air or air and boat package.
