When we were in Bonaire in 1998 our divemaster mentioned a fellow on the island who is famous for his buoyancy control clinics. Can anyone refresh my memory as to his name? Is he still offering these clinics? Thanks.

Wow, fast response! Thanks! Do the clinics live up to their reputation?

And a not so fast response later.

I've not taken the workshop although as you mentioned he is famous for them. We working with him and some others on putting together a program for Dive Into Earth Day. We asked him for a buoyancy workshop here at our house on Earth Day Monday April 22nd. Brave souls can venture into the water afterwards and demonstrate their improved buoyancy to the BonaireWebCam viewers.

We haven't got all the details worked out but so far we are working on a Naturalist workshop plus a dive through afternoon shore diving here at Small Wall. Jake will be posting details the closer we get to the date.

we will be in bonaire march 16-23 and we are strictly snorkelers. this is our 2nd trip there. when there previously we were told there was cave snorkeling somewhere but we never could find it. is it possible to do this on your own or do you have to go with a group?

All the dive ops on Bonaire give free buoyancy control 'courses' and some, at least, a 'photo buoyancy control' course that teaches yet finer control. Bruce may be most famous for the courses on island but Bonaire dive ops are the world pioneers in island-wide buoyancy control education.
