you people who spoke of gauges and graphs charts and maping and calculation have got to be out of your minds. i have dove for 5 years and also just with my trusty us diver matrix. our whole family uses them they are great. i learning to always stay in the green and there is nothing to it. the battery is no problem for 3 bucks its worth it to get a new one for each trip. we have a new diver in the group and the matrix has gone down from $500.00 to $ 244.00 found it on the net at: www.leisure-pro.com. we doing a little further research but from what i recall this is not much more than the gauge you all talk about. let me hear from you other computer divers , dont you agree? isnt your diving effordless because of it. me dives are stored and i dont even have to do a log asap. it hold quite a few. the little plane tell me when i can fly. and i am told what i can do it the computer guides us individually. when i start to go into the yellow i just go up a little and great its green again. i want to hear from you please share.

For all of us who are out of our minds,here is a reminder....please review your dive tables...The majority of my friends who have gotten bent have been using computers, me included (diagnosis, undeserved case of the bends) It is great to look at your computer while lying in the chamber and it said you were okay...Just follow the rules of common sense and use tables to back up your computers, Pick up a copy of Decomporession Theory, Dive Tables and Dive Computers...PADI product #70165 and also diver's insurance. I always keep a log to back up my computer. Never know when your computer is going to fail and leave you guessing when and how long you can dive for. Just my 2 cents.
