My Dad and i are staying at Captian Don's from 22febr - 4 mrch.
Will be my 2nd time on Bonaire. Was back in 1999 at Sand Dollar and had a beautiful time. Did a "discover scuba" course back then, and an additional bootdive!

My Question is which PADI certificate is needed to get a "tanks & air" package, to drive of for the first dive in paradise... (we intend to get assistance of local Divemaster on first dive(s)).
(some suggestions on what car-rental company is good?)

We are PADI "open water" certified in the cold and low-visional waters of Holland (Vinkeveense Plassen).

Marco,

PADI Open Water certification is sufficient to rent tanks.

Thanks Jake for the answer!

We have the dutch version of the PADI "advanced" set, so we can learn the theoretics before coming to BONaire and hopefully get certified in a few days over there.
I think it's usefull to have the Navigation-, Deep- and Nightdive speciality while the average depth is +18meter at many places.
