I will be making a day trip to Bonaire from Aruba in about three weeks and am curious about some good places to snorkel. Please feel free to email me. Also, may be looking for a snorkel tour. Thanks. Sam in Houston

on the web site is listed the bonaire guided snorkel sites and a description of the program. It is lots of fun and quite educational, especially the trip to the mangroves where you will find baby baracudda 3 inches long, looking just as fierce as their full grown parents, not to mention the upside jelly fish (harmless) Check it out...

We will be arriving next Wednesday (God and ALM wishing!) for 12 days of (mainly) snorkel. I know the web site on snorkel, and I think it is very informative and useful, but I would still like to read people's views. If you had only one go at snorkeling in Bonaire, where would you go?

So many great places
Nuckov, If the wind is right, a little rugged to get to off dirt road, but worth it increadable corals and lots of fish
Bachlor Beach and Winsock for the easiness of entry
In front of the hotels, Divi,Habitat, and Plaza.
Then you can rinse off at the dock and have a cool drink and a snack, Divi and Habitat has no problem with this, not sure of Plaza
Or take a ride over to Klien Bonaireon the Woodwind at the Divi Ranee" knows all the fish on No Name and her snack lunch and drinks are delcious!

The only places I can add to Lorraine's excellant list are 1000 steps and Andrea I &II ( you'll need booties for the Andreas, but you'll see some of the biggest parrot fish around!) Also do a drift snorkel on Klien with the "cow" water taxi. A good night snorkel place is off Habitat's dock. Twelve days......sigh, wish it was me!

Could also try the Sand dollar-large horse-eye jacks under the Samur and occasionally the large plue or midnight parrot fish. Plus lots of other stuff. Also off Habitat where fire coral is near the surface.
