Where is Baby Beach? The best I find from these threads is "South of Marcultara fences", which does me no good.

We attempted a dive on the east side a couple of years ago. I do not remember the name. Local dive masters gave us directions. Memory has it that it was south of Soribon by a km or two or three. Rocky entry, urchins galore. We tried a couple fo different days and aborted each attempt due to high seas. What dive site would this have been?

Any help will be appreciated.

Baby Beach is next to Lac Bay...the scenic coastal road...

I am wondering if the dive we attempted south of Lac Cai was Baby Beach. It was near a windmill, if my memoery is correct.

I, however, wonder to this day if we had the correct spot. A detailed explanation of the Baby Beach site location may help.

I found this info on the web....

Out of Kralendijk, take the road to Sorobon.
After driving for 15 minutes along the backside of Lac Bay, with a lot of mangroves and some occasional donkeys, you will see a windmill.
At the following crossroads, turn right to Pekelmeer. Shortly after the turn, still driving along the fence of the late Marcultura Project, you will see this little bridge. Here you start counting the little traffic pockets on your left. Park the car 50 meters behind the third pocket. You have reached the divesite! The little mini beach you see is the entry and exit point, gear up besides the car, and walk fully donned to the shore. Weird and Secret Dives of Bonaire

the buildings belong to Sea Hatch, a company that sells shrimp fry to aquaculture companies in South America.

Dave, you might like to check out my Chapters 11 & 12 in the Trip Report section.
When trying to find the site, look for a large washed up tree trunk & a small stretch of sandy beach. This log is a permanent feature until the next bad storm passes through, I reckon.
As I said in one of my reports, park on the roadside lining the log up directly between your car & the sea. That way when you're finning out (& more importantly, on the way back in) you can see which way if any, the current is taking you. From my limited experience (only 2 dives there), I think that it's important to try & exit the water at the same point you entered, ie. in line with the log & your car. Elswhere the sea bed wasn't so friendly & there were a lot of spiny black urchins just waiting to stab you when you fall, which you most likely will!
We were all agreed that the dive was well worth the extra effort, but don't be tempted to take any novices with you as it certainly can be a trifle challenging.
Anyway...read my reports.
