I would like to make a scuba rack for
my truck. I would like to copy the pattern
for tank racks used by many truck rental
companies in Bonaire.

Does any one know the dimensions of the
wooden racks used in pickups in Bonaire?

Hi Dean:
To make a Bonaire-style rack, my guess would be make the length of the rack a bit shorter than your tanks; make the width of the cross pieces a little bigger than the number of tanks you want to carry (Buddy Dive has room for four). If I remember correctly, the cross pieces are on the bottom (maybe 2x4s?), and the five 2x2s that make up the length and keep the tanks from rolling around are screwed on top of the cross pieces. I've been thinking of making something like that for my truck, too.
