We will be in Bonaire in about a month and unfortunately my wife's strobe for her Nikonis 5 will not be ready. So, does anyone have suggestions for rentals? (we'll be staying at Divi)

Thomas, I am reasonable sure Divi has a camera rental service. If they do not almost everybody else does and will have no problem renting to you with an appropriate deposit.

Lorraine, as I recall Divi did not have any photography equipment to rent while we were there in October. Not certain if they are up and running again.....I think they told me the photo equipment rentals were handled out of the dive operation that was wiped out during Lenny in 1998. There are lots of places on the island that rent all sorts of excellent equipment, however. A lot of the other Dive operations offer these rentals. Carole

Have you checked with Sand Dollar - they have a photo shop? Another option is to find a local (where you live) photo rental. I do u/w photography and a friend who always dives with me will often rent a 15mm for her Nikonos and rents it at home and then takes it. Only problem with this is if she has a problem with it then she can't just take it back and get another but (touch wood) that has not happened yet.
